Sloths need a large cage. While sloths can sometimes be seen in large macaw cages at some pet stores, this is only temporary. To ward off stress-related health problems, a sloth should have a large and tall aviary type enclosure or dedicated room so they can remain hanging in a high location away from people, pets, and other stressful stimuli. The top of the cage should have many thick branches, ropes, and other apparatuses to encourage movement.
